Efficacy of EMDR Therapy in the Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder A Systematic Review

Eye Movement Re-Depersonalization (EMDR) treatment method is used in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The aim of this systematic review study is to examine the effectiveness of the use of EMDR therapy in individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by reviewing the literature. The research was conducted using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) guidelines. As a result of the literature review, 4 articles were examined and included in the study. Studies are studies on the effectiveness of EMDR treatment in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.In the research, first of all, general information about the definitions related to the research is given. In the next stage, it is aimed to give detailed information by emphasizing the effectiveness of Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), EMDR Treatment and EMDR treatment in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The use of EMDR therapy in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder shows positive results. However, more work on this is needed.
